Title Research and mechanical properties of modified PVA hydrogel material articular cartilage repair
Abstract
Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) hydrogel is a hydrogel not only with normal gel performance, but with low toxicity and good mechanical properties, high water absorption and the advantages of good biocompatibility. It’s a promising artificial cartilage repairing material. The PVA based gel composite was prepared combining the Modified methods. The mechanical properties of gel composite were systemically studied. The main contents are as follows:
1.The PVA/PVP 、PVA/PAAM、PVA/GO、PVA/C12 gel composite prepared by a combination of modified methods, the effect of different parameters on the mechanical properties of PVA composite hydrogel was studied.
2. PVA based hydrogels compressive stress - strain shows a typical nonlinear relationship; compression modulus are increased with the increase of the strain, and their dynamic mechanical properties of natural cartilage is similar, indicating that PVA hydrogel is a kind of material to the articular cartilage of the application foreground.
