Abstract：Public participation in the community design first appeared in the late 1960 s the United States, it is the result of a series of social problems, and to the community's sense of identity and belonging is the key to the organization and the development of the community, so the public participation become an important community design concept. In the concept of community design，aesthetics is not an isolated object, but to To dissolve into the community life, is closely connected with personal experience and daily experience. Open social participation, we live in a city can really belong to us. And this topic choice is to investigate how the community design from the beautiful buildings into a city residents to shape the future of our ideal place.

1 项目概况
1.1 工程概况
项目位于上海市淞南路500号，基地东至淞南路、南至交警三中队、西至宝钢一钢公司办公大楼、北至吴松煤气厂宿舍。地块用地10812.7平方，地势基本平整。
本项目性质为镇区公共服务配套设施，拟建设一幢总建筑面积约7400平方米的大楼。其中地上面积6300平方米，地下面积1100平方米。
1.2 基地研究以及设计核心
对基地现有条件进行分析后得出：
（1） 整个基地只有东面与城市道路相连接，作为基地主要出入口的沿街立面，在满足设计要求的前提下更要强调出入口的设计感和建筑的标志性。
（2）基地周围多数为多层住宅和公共服务机构，并无明显高层建筑，因此建筑高度的限定需要考量。
（3）项目地块上有两栋原有老建筑不可拆除，基地周边大多是八九十年代的老建筑，因此怎样使新老建筑有机的结合起来也是本次设计的重点之一。
2 设计理念
整个市民中心建筑设计规模并不大，为了加强公众参与这一理念，因此以“融合”方式使建筑形态与周边环境在视觉认知上形成统一的整体。具体体现在建筑高度的选择上，基地周边并无大型高层建筑，因此市民中心整体高度被限定在24米以下。由于市民中心建筑的独特性，要求其在整个环境中能够突显自我，因此建筑形态的选择应该与周边建筑有差异性，并且具有可识别性。而作为城市景观的关键节点，建筑形体应与自然环境“共生”，因此庭院也是建筑设计中不可或缺的一部分。
