Design in addition to meet the indoor air temperature, humidity and speed requirements, more important is to meet the comfort requirements. Combined with the characteristics of buildings, each floor rooms adopt fan-coil unit plus fresh air system.
The main content of the design include:
(1)the air-conditioning cooling load calculation
This design uses Hongye load calculation software for load calculation. In the process of load calculation, I must be to set the building location, meteorological parameters and other basic information in first; secondly, I according the construction drawings to calculate the area of air conditioning room and set the meteorological parameters of each air-conditioned room area, and then choose the building maintenance structure, sets the indoor density, equipment power ,lighting power According to the features of the building.
Because of the corridor, kitchen, restroom and shower area is small and the occupancy is small, they has a good ventilation. From the economic into consideration these areas are not installed air conditioning, no mechanical ventilation
The building cooling load is 83.57Kw by the load calculation, air conditioning room area is 482.03 m ², cooling load index is 173W/ m ².
    (2) the choice of the form of air conditioning system
    Air conditioning area of the Australian company office building belonging to the small area of the building, the primaries of all air system and fan-coil unit plus fresh air system, the advantages and disadvantages of the two systems, according to the characteristics of the building, the building room area is lesser, for flexible control and convenient management, final selection of fan-coil plus fresh air air conditioning system.

(4) the design of air conditioning system
    1、air system design

    The building of the air-conditioned room area is lesser, rooms require a separate regulation, therefore adopts a fan-coil unit plus fresh air system, fresh air duct independent new air.
    Fresh air system is provided with a single, independent supply indoor, outdoor weather changes can be carried out with the regulation, indoor parameter to that fresh air treatment, do not assume room load, assure indoor humidity and fresh air requirement. This scheme can improve the system of regulation and the flexibility of the operation, and into the fan coil water temperature can be appropriately increased, water condensation phenomenon can be improved.
    2、exhaust design
    The air conditioning room because in the ground, and are outside the window, the window can use natural ventilation. A layer of the restroom, two layer, three layer corridor restroom, kitchen, located in the south of the south wall, and have a large enough area of the window, can be naturally ventilated good, so that these areas do not exhaust design. But considering the bathroom winter may be closed, if not done in exhaust design, which will make it very boring, so in the two bathroom three layers in each with one type of exhaust fan the same.
    (5) the design of air conditioning water system
According to the characteristic of the building, and through the comparison of various water system, I decided to closed DRS, dual control, single pump system in this design.
   (6) the selection of the main equipment
The type of fan coil is choosed by the cooling load it bears . The type of the fresh air unit is choosed by cold load of fresh air unit. Chiller type according to the total amount of refrigeration. Chilled water pumps and cooling water pumps models are selected according to their head and flow. Cooling tower type is selected according to the flow of cooling water. Expansion tank type is selected according to the effective volume.
