Core-shell structural microspheres based on tetrathiafulvalene derivative
Abstract: A tetrathiafulvalene (TTF) derivative appending pyridine was designed and synthesized. Then, core-shell structural microspheres were prepared by the in-situ redox reaction between the compound and silver ions, together with coordination and layer-by-layer self-assembly process. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) investigation of the microspheres confirmed their core-shell structures, in which the core was composed of silver, while the shell part consisted of organic TTF compounds.
