摘要随着移动通信和无线技术的发展,通信网络变得越来越庞大,网络类型和网络结构也变得越来越复杂。3G、WLAN、WIMAX等新技术的不断引入使得网络更加多元化。未来网络也必定将朝着异构性和融合性发展。在这种环境下,人们业务需求的类型和数量也不断增加,如何在当前网络环境中实现异构网络的融合以满足不同的业务需求是人们研究的焦点。

本文首先对课题背景以及研究内容做了简单阐述。然后针对课题选择了WIFI和WIMAX这两个无线网络进行分析,主要介绍了WIFI和WIMAX各自的特点并且讨论了二者融合的可行性。接着介绍了课题研究中使用到的仿真工具,主要对NS3的相关功能进行了一系列的描述和分析。根据这些技术理论知识,给出了基于NS3的WIFI和WIMAX这两种网络融合的具体实现过程。最后通过设计的仿真系统,对无线异构网络的融合场景进行仿真,并对仿真结果进行了分析。66672

Title      Simulation of heterogeneous wireless network architecture      based on NS3                                            

Abstract

With the development of mobile communication and wireless technology, communication networks become increasingly large, network type and network structure also becomes increasingly complex. The constant introduction of new technology like 3G, WLAN, WIMAX , makes the network more persified. Network must be moving in the heterogeneity and the integration of development in the future. How to achieve the integration of heterogeneous networks to meet different business needs in the current network environment become the focus of research.

Firstly, this paper briefly discusses the topic background and the research content. And then analyze the WIFI and WIMAX, including both the respective characteristics as well as the feasibility of their convergence. After that, this paper introduces the simulation tool called NS3 which is used in the study, mainly describe the function associated with the simulation of NS3. Based on this technical theoretical knowledge, the specific implementation process of integration of WIFI and WIMAX based on the NS3 is given in this paper. Finally, the simulation of the integration of wireless heterogeneous networks is completed and simulation results are analyzed.
