According to the elementary student's physiological, psychological characteristics and development requirements, primary school English curriculum aims to arouse the students' interest in learning English, cultivate their  positive attitude to learn English and help them establish initial confidence of learning English and to train the student to have certain language sense and good pronunciation, intonation and make them form the preliminary simple communication in English ability, lay the foundation for further learning。 Therefore, in the teaching of oral English, we should from the start implement this requirement throughout the whole teaching process, changing the traditional "dumb English" teaching into a "new concept English" teaching, and helping the students in the new classroom speak freely in English。论文网

One of the important tasks of primary school English teaching is to cultivate students’ ability of listening and speaking。 Primary school is the initial stage of learning English; it is the golden age of learning English。 The students not only have curiosity to learn but also good at imitating, so the teacher must lose no time in the training of the students' oral English ability。 They need to do so through rich and colorful teaching methods and a variety of ways to improve the students' listening and speaking skills。

2。 The Survey

2。1 The main purpose of the Investigation Report

Primary school stage is the critical period of language learning, especially during the senior grades, when there is an increase of vocabulary, providing the necessary conditions for oral communication。 But in usual teaching activities, students only pay attention to the accumulation of words and the rote learning, resulting in oral poor communication ability。 One reason is the lack of English language environment。 Most of the students becomes a "dumb" which only read the books without communication。 Open the mouth to express yourself in English is now the biggest obstacle to primary school students, at the same time, the problem of "dumb English" of English learning has plagued many students。 Many students aren’t willing to speak English。

2。2 The source and design of questionnaires

An investigation in the form of a set of questionnaires were used for the current research purpose。 The investigation took place in Nanjing Xiaoying primary school。 30 students and their teachers took part in the investigation。 The questionnaire were elicited from so jump which is a website designing questionnaires。 It consists of four aspects including learning attitude, effect, way and environment to carry on the design, a total of 13 Multiple Choices and a subjective item。

The Investigation took place on April 7th, 2017 in class 3, grade 6 and lasted for 15 minutes。 The answer of the investigation is at a good condition, some questions were changed at the scene in order to make the students easy to accept。 In cooperation with English teachers, 30 papers were issued to the students in grade six, and were taken back on the spot。 The number of valid questionnaires is 30。 After the investigation of students, teachers also took the questionnaire mainly about the attitudes of training oral English ability and how to cultivate the students' oral English ability。 They gave a furious discussion as well。文献综述
