Title Research of the miniaturized power amplifier
Abstract
With the development of modern communication system, demand for the amplifier is also increased. Then it is important to design the efficient and stable amplifier.
According to the guidelines of the amplifier design, I designed seveval power amplifiers with ADS software. The mainly works are given as follows:
The first is the introduction of the basic theory of RF amplifier circuit and RF power amplifier, including scattering parameters, impedance matching, design indicators and stability analysis of amplifier.
Secondly, the design which is based on the RF power amplifier transistor AT32011 is presented. And the ADS software is used in the process of design. DC amplifier characteristics simulation, assembly model simulation and S parameters simulation are taken. Also, the matching network and bias network are designed. I focuse on the harmonic balance simulation and get all simulation diagrams of parameters.
The third is to design a two stage power amplifier circuit with two chips of the Hittite company. Then the PCB layout is drew.
