Title Study and Implementation of MIMO Spatial Channel Model
Abstract
MIMO technology now is a research hotspot of wireless communication. It
plays an important role in improving the transmission quality, channel
capacity and spectrum efficiency.The capacity of MIMO system mainly
depends on the spatial characteristics of MIMO channel.So it is necessary
to establish proper spatial channel models to study and evaluate the MIMO
system performance.
The background, significance and history of SCM are described firstly. Then
the basic characteristics of wireless fading channel are briefly analyzed
and summarized. The modeling approach of SCM is studied, and the modeling
steps of various scenarios are given. Furthermore, the SCM model is
realized using C++ in Linux system, and the performance of the SCM channel
model is verified via simulation. Finally, the spatial correlation of SCM
model is discussed, and the relationship between antenna correlation and
the angular spread, antenna spacing are analyzed.
