前言
伴随着科技的发展，网络的越发在人们生活中扮演者重要的作用，网络小说在这新兴的环境中逐渐的枝繁叶茂。在现代文坛中越发占着重要的位置。使得网络小说在现代的文坛中不亚于传统文学作品，具有较强的影响力。随着科学技术的发展以及人们的观念转变，对网络小说这种新生事物的接受将成为必然。因此，网络小说的发展前景是巨大的。本文介绍了网络小说发展的基本情况，探讨了新媒体对网络小说发展的功能，对网络小说进行了分类，并粗略进行了梳理，对其存在的原因、主题思想、写作特点进行了简单的分析，并对其发展趋势进行了推测。
一、 网络小说兴起的背景
在现代生活中，由于互联网技术的发展，加之个人计算机的不断普及，网络已经成为人们生活中不可缺少的部分，人们可以在网络上实现资源共享、远程登录、收发邮件、即时通讯、阅读新闻、休闲娱乐等诸多功能，如今现在的人们，已经将我们祖先们的梦想“秀才不出门便知天下事”变成了现实。网络将人们连接起来，编织成了一张关系密切的网，在这里，空间时间的界限都变得没那么明显。人们在家中，只要面对的网络，所有正在发生的事都可以很快的了解到。小到家庭琐事，达到国家大事。使得每个人都参与其中。人们的日常活动同样也可以用网络聊天，网络购物来实现。网络是网络小说发展的栖身之地，是他的重要载体。网络的发展优势加上网络小说自身大众化的优势使得网络小说的发展势头迅猛。同时，手机的方便性和易传播性使得手机作为网络小说的重要载体之一也为网络小说的蓬勃发展带来了巨大的作用。这些优势使得网络小说正逐步改变着人们的阅读习惯，为网络小说打造了更好的平台与空间。随着新媒体技术的发展，媒体的不断融合，以及人们消费观念的转变，网络小说也就应运而生，成为了当下人们一种新颖而又普遍的大众休闲方式。
