The Comparative Analysis of “Guoran” and “Guobuqiran” in Three Planes
Abstract: As a kind of synonymous word and fixed phrase, “guoran” and “guobuqiran” represent a class of language phenomena. This article is trying to use the method of data analysis and comparative analysis to elaborate their similarities and differences. Besides we apply the theory of “three planes” to analysis them specifically. They are similar in the meaning .And because “guoran” formation time is earlier than “guobuqiran”, the former is commonly used than the latter, but is weaker than “guobuqiran” in expression. The biggest difference between them is syntax: “guoran” is a compound word of additional structure, but “guobuqiran” is an idiom of contraction type. The research results not only contribute to our vocabulary teaching to foreigners, but also to the lexicography of these units.
