前言
“刘震云的小说总是和嘴有着密切的关系，” [1]笔耕不辍的刘震云在迈入新世纪以来，以高度的激情和浓烈的文学敏感相继创作出多部具有深刻涵蕴的优秀文学作品，比如:《手机》和《一句顶一万句》等，纵观刘震云的创作历史，我们可以轻易地察觉，新世纪以来的作品与八十年代末的“新写实小说”以及九十年代的“故乡系列”，在叙事模式、创作形式、素材选择、题材定向、语体风格等存在着不容忽视的差异性，尤其是关于故事叙事模式方面，无论是“五十街西里”的胡言乱语，或是严守一嘴里言之凿凿的谎话，还是杨百顺的落寞离去和牛爱国的孤独追寻，无一不突显出刘震云对叙事形式进行巨大的自我转变；同时，刘震云刻意营造出的这些迥然不同的故事场景也无一不是对国民精神困境的关注。断壁颓垣似的语言，萎靡不振、孤独颓废和踽踽独行的精神风貌恰似涌流下暗藏的礁石，深深地埋在每一个人物的灵魂深处和每一段故事的根上，无论是文本叙事者还是读者，就再也不能清晰明了的看见生命的阳光，于是生活不再是积极乐观、蓬勃生气、仰望向上的，而是跌落入一个深渊之中，在这里，没有一个明朗的人所希望的一切，就像是一个无底洞，永远在坠落，没有极限。刘震云就是在这种状态下把故乡河南延津县当作叙事的蓝图和言语的滥觞，在一帧又一帧的乡土镜像中书写着千年中国的国民孤独。
