The reasons are complex, in economic aspect, Italian countries such as Venice produced a contradiction in the economic exchanges between the Byzantine Empire; in religious aspect, western church attempt to unify Christianity; in external environmental aspect, holy Roman Empire has always been watching for the Byzantine Empire; in its own aspect, the Byzantine Empire has been badly weakened.
