2。1。2 Definition of primary school English Flipped Classroom论文网

     According to the operational definition of the Flipped Classroom, the author thinks that the primary school English Flipped Classroom refers to a blended teaching model where students finish task of self-study by independently studying learning resources provided by teachers before class and students face-to-face share and discuss what they have learned and their problems,and solve problems in the classroom with their teachers and classmates。 However, the definition of “primary school English Flipped Classroom” cannot be simply defined as the way of defining the Flipped Classroom。The executor needs to fully consider the idea and objective of primary school English teaching to eliminate those teaching strategies which are not suitable for the characteristics of physical and mental development of primary school students and rationally use some parts which are beneficial for primary school English teaching goal。 At present, the important concepts of English Teaching in primary schools include (Ministry of Education 3-4):

     First, primary school English teaching should face all students, reflect the students-oriented idea, and fully consider the differences of students in personality, cognitive style,living environment and so on to meet the inpidual demand up furthest。

     Second, modern foreign language education pays attention to the process of language learning and emphasizes the practicality of language learning。Therefore, teachers should create authentic contexts for students as much as possible so that students can experience, understand and use what they’ve learned。

     Third, language learning requires a lot of input。English learning resources can come from textbooks, teaching materials and school teaching facilities, and can also come from audio, television, Internet and other mass media。 Rich and varied learning resources can make learning content, form and process more vivid and conform to the cognitive characteristics of primary school students。

     According to the English curriculum standards, the general goal of primary school English teaching is composed of five aspects: language skills, language knowledge, emotional attitudes, learning strategies and cultural awareness。 Students’ comprehensive behavior in these five areas can be described by reference to level 1 (grade 4 students’ standard) and level two (grade 6 students’ standard)。

     Therefore, the author believes that primary school English Flipped Classroom should have the following characteristics:

     1。Teachers should make full use of the advantages of learning first in the Flipped Classroom and create a more authentic language learning environment in the classroom so that students can experience, understand and use English with the help of “teaching” process of teachers。文献综述

     2。The language input provided to students should not only meet the requirements of quantity, but also need to consider the cognitive characteristics of students and the requirements of physical and mental health development in the design of online and offline teaching activities。

     3。Teachers should meet the needs of different students’ language learning styles and learning level, and take care of students’ different life experiences。
