罗伯特•弗罗斯特诗歌对季节意象的创新使用
The thesis combines juxtaposition, combination and creativity of images through the theme building function to reflect the role of seasonal images in presenting the theme of poems. It proves that the spring and summer which symbolize the vigor and vitality set off the disconsolation and desperation of the poets. Moreover, the autumn and winter which symbolize the death and gloom reinforce the sorrowful and melancholy emotion. In addition, the creative seasonal images will regenerate the meanings of images and give the fresh impression to the readers.

摘 要罗伯特•弗罗斯特，作为美国20世纪最受欢迎的美国诗人之一，其诗歌一直以来都被广为传颂。本文以弗罗斯特诗歌中季节意象作为研究对象，从意象建构功能角度探究其诗歌中所反映的深刻人生哲理和情感意，诗歌中丰富的季节意象，在揭示主题和塑造形象等方面都具有重要的作用。而意象建构功能从理论上证明和深化了季节意象在弗罗斯特诗歌中独特的作用。
本文通过与诗歌意象建构理论中，意象功能的并置性，组合性和创新性的结合起来，反映出季节意象对于诗歌主题的作用。本文论证了季节意象中春季和秋季这类原本富有生机和活力的季节，在诗中却被用作对诗人伤感痛苦的一种反衬。而秋季和冬季这类萧瑟，死气沉沉的季节则是加深了诗人想要表达的忧郁和沉闷之气。另外,通过研究弗罗斯特对季节意象的创新使用，会使意象原本的意义增殖，再生,且给读者留下清新独特的印象。

The Interpretation of the Seasonal Image in the Poems of Robert Frost Based on the Theme Building Function
INTRODUCTION
Robert Frost is an American poet, whose work is initially published in England before it is published in America. As one of the most popular and critically respected American poets of the twentieth century, Frost is honored frequently during his lifetime, receiving four Pulitzer Prizes for Poetry. He becomes one of America's rare "public literary figures, almost an artistic institution." He is highly regarded for his realistic descriptions of rural life and his command of American colloquial speech. His work frequently employs settings from rural life in New England in the early 20th century, using them to examine complex social and philosophical themes. From Zhang Shuguang’s point of view, the rural settings that Frost depicts are only camouflage, and the predicaments that people confront with behind the rural settings are what he wants to display (74). He is good at using common images to express the profound meanings and emotions, especially using the seasonal images.
