摘 要随着中国经济的迅猛发展,许多具有中国特色的经济词汇频繁出现在人们的视野中。作为对外宣传和对内交流的工具,这些特殊词汇的准确翻译尤为重要。由于东西方国家文化差异较大,英汉句子结构以及表达习惯的不同,在翻译过程中如何将源语内涵充分传递到目标语之中就变得尤为关键。本文从归化和异化的两个角度出发来探讨中国特色经济词汇的翻译,分别论证其优势与不足。译者要合理择取适当的策略,并在特定语境下将两种翻译策略进行融合,以最大程度地传达词汇信息并保留中国特色。34546

Abstract
   With the rapid development of Chinese economy, a lot of unique Chinese economic terms come into our daily life. As one method of propaganda to the external and communication with the internal, the proper translation of those words is of great significance. Due to the differences between China and western countries in culture, sentence structure and expression, it is vital to translate the connotation of source language into target language fully and completely. This paper analyzes the translation of unique Chinese economic terms from two aspects: domestication and foreignization, as well as explores their advantages and disadvantages respectively. Translators should adopt appropriate translation strategies and combine the two methods under certain circumstances in order to convey the information completely and preserve the Chinese characteristics.

I. Introduction

Nowadays, the development of Chinese economy makes our country a spotlight in the world. After suffering from the widespread global economic depression, the strength of Chinese economy has been considered one of the strongest powers in the world. Therefore, newly coined economic terms become increasingly significant than they used to be. However, since there are many cultural differences between different countries, appropriate translation has become increasingly crucial during international communications. Due to its long historical background, Chinese words and phrases, especially economic words, are usually with distinct Chinese characteristics. Therefore, it is vital for us to translate Chinese economic terms properly. This paper will mainly explore the translation of unique economic terms under the guidance of domestication and foreignization. Thus, the choice of applying these two translation strategies is becoming more important when we translate something. To translate the meanings of the source language to the target language, as well as to convey the message to the readers are the aims of the two strategies. In addition to information, the translation should also express the characteristics of the culture in consideration of cultural communication is the ultimate goal.
