As is known, tourist text is heavily culture-loaded. Thus, as far as the translation of tourist text is concerned, the interaction of cultural, social and mental factors has to be taken into account. Verschueren’s Adaptation Theory, under the concept of “pragmatics perspective”, provides a comprehensively theoretical framework as well as practical strategies. All in all, “language use is the continuous making of linguistic choices, consciously or unconsciously, for language-internal or external reasons.” (Verschueren 34)
