Due to the cultural connotation of English and Chinese animal idioms great difference, the translation of this type idioms must deal well with the contradiction between language and culture. we should translate not only the form and rhetoric of idioms but also the national characteristic and local customs to reach the highest level of cultural communication. the level of idioms’ translation influence the quality of translation and the extent of cultural communication directly. How to guarantee the source language culture expressed smoothly is key to idioms’ translation.
