人文主义与哈姆雷特复仇研究
Throughout the researchers’ study area, the topics about Hamlet’s delay were in the majority. However, plenty of study results shew that most researchers blamed Hamlet’s delay for his hesitation. These scholars forgot the necessary element in which Hamlet stayed. The judgment about Hamlet without considering the characteristic is not comprehensive. Therefore, the author will try to analyze the reasons about Hamlet’s delay combining with the important element the era’s feature—Humanism.
This thesis is made up of five parts. The first part “Introduction” gives a brief review of the work Hamlet and the existing researches on the character Hamlet. The second part mainly talks about the origin and development of Humanism in Europe, and the author also makes an extra effort to find the influence in Shakespeare’s works. The third part chiefly explores the background of Hamlet and the reasons Hamlet stepping on the road to vengeance. The fourth part concentrates on the discussion of Hamlet’s identity as a Humanist and his missed opportunities for taking vengeance. The conclusion sums up the whole thesis by suggesting that Hamlet delayed for his revenge simply because of his Humanist tendencies.

摘要哈姆雷特是莎士比亚最长的戏剧，也是英国文学史上最为有影响力作品，戏剧的结构和对人物的深刻描述吸引着大批学者的争相讨论。
纵观学者们的研究方向，对哈姆雷特复仇延宕的这一话题的研究不在少数。然而，大多数学者将哈姆雷特复仇的延宕归结于哈姆雷特性格的犹豫。但综合作品所处的历史时期来看，学者们对哈姆雷特复仇延宕的归因过于片面。笔者将结合莎士比亚当时的时代特征，从时代的主流思想人文主义来分析哈姆雷特复仇的延宕。
本文主体由五部分构成。文章绪论部分对《哈姆雷特》这篇著作以及《哈姆雷特》的研究现状做了简要的概述。第二部分讲述了人文主义发展的过程以及人文主义对莎士比亚作品的影响。第三部分进一步叙述了哈姆雷特的创作背景，以及哈姆雷特是如何一步一步走向复仇之路的。第四部分重点讨论了哈姆雷特作为一个人文主义者为何一次次错失为父亲复仇的机会，而更加深入地从人文主义的局限性去解释哈姆雷特复仇的延宕。本文结语部分总结了全文的主要内容，并重点解释了人文主义与哈姆雷特复仇的延宕的关系.

1 Introduction
Hamlet, one of the greatest of William Shakespeare’s works, is acknowledged as a milestone in the history of drama. Numerous scholars and professors all have devoted themselves to the study of the reasons why Hamlet delayed his revenge. They have discussed Hamlet’s problem from the possible perspectives, ranging from psychology, religion, and super-nature to Oedipus complex. The studies of Hamlet in the past years have contributed to a better understanding of William Shakespeare’s character and the Elizabethan age.
