中美家庭教育中的异同《喜福会》的研究(3)
Nowadays, more and more people tend to discover problems in today’s Chinese family education. In their eyes, parents’ conception of value and activity guidance, utopian expectation of children’s education and so on are all wrong. But remember Chinese family education also has its advantages. To have a correct attitude is required.
Although The Joy Luck Club was made up of a series of cultural conflicts, we can not judge which one is better. This is not just a simple listing of some cultural phenomena and explained that the aim of this study was to compare the two cultures to deepen mutual values and our understanding of the two different family values. Still at present, there are a lot of differences between Chinese and American family education. This warns Chinese parents. This not only simulates the parents to pay more attention to family education, but helps them to find a better way to educate children. What we need to do is not growing differences, but making integration and tolerance selectively. We prefer to say that if we want to live in a more harmonious, more peaceful world under the same roof, the best thing we can do is to deepen mutual understanding between the two peoples.
