The first part of the paper mainly discusses the relationship of micro class and flipped classroom teaching。 Then the author introduces a new teaching mode—flipped classroom teaching based on micro class and its characteristics as well as advantages。 The feasibility of this mode in the application in oral college English teaching is discussed subsequently。 The last part mainly explains how to design an oral English class based on this mode。

2。 Literature Review

Technology, ever present in today’s world, shapes education。 With the deep application of information technology in education, traditional classes considered as “the first teaching scene” are facing great challenges。 The flipped classroom teaching mode, utilizing modern technology, creates an information teaching environment and overturns the order of knowledge transfer, knowledge internalization and knowledge consolidation, which is considered as an effective way to traditional class reform。 Early research about flipped teaching was mainly conducted in the universities of the United States, whose characteristic was paying great attention to the interaction between teachers and students。 In the 1990s, Eric Mazur, physics professor at Harvard University, carried out the research work on flipped learning and integrated it with "peer teaching method"  which was created by himself: students watch video and read the article before class or think independently; then they review what they have learned and ask questions; teachers design class activities and develop classroom learning materials according to their questions; in class, teachers guide students to discuss and solve problems together。 Robert Talbert, professor at the Franklin Institute also advocates adopting flipped teaching and holds the view that the arrangement of knowledge absorption within the class is good for students to have a better understanding of teaching materials。 Flipped class in Khan Academy is officially considered to open the prelude of the future education。 Every film course lasts about 10 minutes supported by an electronic blackboard system。 In 2010, Clintondale High School carried out an experiment of the flipped classroom teaching on 140 students。 After a semester’s study, students' academic performance was greatly improved。 The failing rate of each course (more than 50% before) decreased respectively: English Language Art was 33%, Math 31%, Science 22%, and Social Study 19%。 Two years later, the President Greg Green promoted the teaching mode among the whole school。 Khan Academy's career has received more and more social acceptance。文献综述

Some domestic scholars are aware of the important role of micro-class in implementing the flipped classroom teaching。 Liang Leming, Professor of Nanjing University, advocates taking the flipped classroom as one of construction samples of micro-course design。 From his perspective, the application of micro video and a set of new organization management pattern is the most successful, which has changed the traditional teaching system。 Zhang Jinlei and other scholars have perfected the flipped classroom teaching mode, consolidating the theory for the implementation of domestic teaching experiment on flipped classroom。

There are many pilot schools like Jukui Middle School in Chongqing Province, which have achieved good teaching effect。 The teaching effect of micro-course based flipped classroom in oral English teaching in college is worth exploring。 Many deficiencies still exist in traditional college oral English teaching。 This paper introduces this new teaching mode and discusses the way to apply the mode to oral English teaching in college in the expectation of realizing a more effective teaching result。
