Abstract The environmental design and research of historical sites is a problem that must be faced in the development of urban construction in the present society。 How to guarantee the construction and development of the urban civilization at the same time, and of historical place left over by scientific and reasonable renovation and reuse is contemporary designers need to get to the bottom of the direction。 This article focuses on the historical sites of the status , the formation of the reasons, classification, and the significance of the transformation and reuse, methods, steps。 Analysis and research examples, as well as the combination of graduation project, the historical legacy of the transformation of the study。 Hope that valuable historical sites in the contemporary society can be re activated, giving new functions and achieve sustainable development。

1  引言
