Abstract:With the rapid development of urbanization, urban development and has a long history of conflict between old factories have become increasingly prominent. Many of the old industrial age factories obsolete, some moving to the suburbs, the original factory due to social development need to be razed. Time has passed, In the progress of society at the same time, symbolized the historical relic of the industrial age are in the fading. So, protection and exploitation of these old plants, making the building itself and the connotation of culture were preserved intact is quite important. It’s a new research direction in today. The Changzhou third woolen mill for the remnants of the textile industry in the period of Republic of China construction. It has historical representation, Designed as the core concept of ideas as a wire, silk, cloth, making full use of their natural resources, while advocating plant protection and utilization of ecological ethics and sustainable design. The existing protection of the old plant and then using a gradual increase, to implement on its own merits, and the transmission of culture has a new step in exploration.
