  网咖俗称网络咖啡厅。在国外通常被称为Internet Cafe；最初的角色与功能，主要是为商务人士，提供一个舒适又快速的上网环境。

  目前网吧转型升级网咖已是常例，网咖作为网吧和咖啡的结合体，自诞生起就得到众多网友的喜爱，许多年轻人甚至放弃在家中玩游戏，也要到有特色的网咖去，就是因为现在网咖的设计照顾到网友的很多需求。网咖现在跨入一个服务行业，已经不是10年前充斥着泡面，烟油的代表。网咖发展已经步入成熟期了，年轻人是网咖消费主力，事实上网咖也成为大多数青少年的休闲活动场所。网咖同时还兼顾到顾客的各个方面，给消费者营造出一个“家"的感觉，休闲娱乐氛围很浓烈。
