Determining air conditioning system Determining wind system of air conditioning

By comparison and selection of air-conditioning systems, the design uses three kinds of air conditioning systems in the form, in particular: dining hall, open office area using primary return air system; fan-coil units with fresh air system is adopted for the guest rooms of the hotel and private dining rooms; large conference rooms using varied refrigerant volume air conditioning system (VRV).

Primary return air system is adopted for the dinning room and open office area. This air conditioning system supplies large amount of air and reduce the indoor air pollution. The air handling equipments are centralized in the engine room so that’s convenient to be managed and maintained. Fresh air can be adjusted by season and achieve annual energy saving operation by multi-state regulation. Meanwhile achieve economic effect

Fan-coil units with fresh air system is adopted for the guest rooms of the hotel and private dining rooms. According to investigation, private dinning rooms and guest rooms are used at different times and the load of different rooms are mutative and inconsist. That requires separate control. The fan-coil units with fresh air system can control the temperature of different room inpidually and the air conditioning systems for different rooms operating independently of each other.

VRV system is used for the large conference room. The system can be started or stopped at any time based on the operation situation of each room. What’s more is we can achieve heating in winter. Due to the large amount of air to exhaust of the large conference room and private rooms and the temperature difference between fresh air and exhausted air, we use full-heat type fresh air exchanger to process the fresh air. By this method, we not only make use of the exhaust energy but also reduce the fresh air units. The refrigeration capacity of the host and the energy consumption of chilled water transportation achieve corresponding reduction.

 Determining water system of air conditioning

The direct return system is adopted for the 1st and 2nd floor of the dinning room and other area using the indirect return system. In consideration of the great resistance of the long pipeline for the private rooms and guest rooms, coupled with the great resistance losses of the fan-coil units, usually in 30-50kPa, the direct return system can not achieve hydraulic balance. So indirect return system is applied in these rooms. The scale of the water system for 1st and 2nd floor is not large and the hydraulic stability is well, so the direct return system is a proper application. Direct return system can also reduce initial investment.
