The Design of 40,000 Tons / Year Chloroacetic Acid Process
Abstract: Continuous chlorination of acetic anhydride technology is used in this design to produce chloroacetic acid. In the optimum production condition, which is under the control of 200~250℃ of the reaction temperature, 1~2MPa of the reaction pressure, and 1:1 of the ratio of hydrogen to oil, the chloroacetic acid conversion rate can be achieved over 99% and then achieved the target of the annual production capacity of forty thousand tons. As a design for chloroacetic acid production plant process, this design is focused on the Continuous chlorination of acetic anhydride fluidized bed reactor tower equipment. The optimum condition of the reaction tower is made according to the material balance and the energy balance of the production requirements. In addition, the design of recovery phase of process, selection of catalyst and other related items are discussed in the article.
