Preparation of Rare-earth Ion-doped TiO2 Nanotube Arrays
Abstract: In this paper,La, Eu doped TiO2 nanotube arrays were prepared by anodic oxidation. The catalysts were charactered by X-ray diffraction(XRD), scanning electron microscopy(SEM), UV-visible diffuse reflectance(UV-Vis), fluorescence spectroscopy(FS), fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and other testing methods. The crystal structure, surface morphology and optical performance of La, Eu doped TiO2 nanotube arrays were analyzed. The results demonstrated that La, Eu doping had no effect on crystalline. The surface morphology varied with the concentration and flaky nanotubes partially came out in layers. The optimum doping amount of La and Eu separately were 1.0% and 1.2%. Their degradation rates of methyl orange were 83.6% and 70.9% respectively under 500W mercury lamped after 2h. All these described that the photocatalytic activity of La, Eu doped TiO2 nanotube arrays were effectively improved.
