摘 要:以对甲苯磺酸作为催化剂,乙醇和苯甲酸为原料,环己烷作为带水剂,通过酯化反应合成苯甲酸乙酯。研究了反应时间、催化剂用量以及醇和酸的摩尔比对反应产率的影响,并对合成的产品进行质谱测定、红外光谱测定以及元素分析。实验结果表明,合成苯甲酸乙酯的最佳条件为:反应时间为2 h,醇酸摩尔比为3:1,催化剂用量为苯甲酸用量的3.28%,产率可达到57.84%。对甲苯磺酸作为催化剂,具有用量少且催化活性高,价格低廉,使用方便,后续处理简单,无环境污染等优点,可望代替传统催化剂浓硫酸用于苯甲酸乙酯的合成。9609

Synthesis of ethyl benzoate Catalyzed by p-Toluene Sulfuric Acid
Abstract: Ethyl benzoate was synthesized with benzoic acid and ethanol as raw materials, cyclohexane as water-carrying agent and p-toluene sulfuric acid as catalyst. The effect of the reaction time, the amount of catalyst and the ratio of ethanol to benzoic acid on the yield of ethyl benzoate were investigated. Infrared spectrometry, mass spectrometry and elemental analysis were used to determine the molecular structure of the product. Under the optimized reaction conditions, as follows: the reaction time was 2h, and the ratio of ethanol to hexane diacid was 3:1, with 3.28% p-toluene sulfuric acid, the yield of the ethyl benzoate was up to 57.84%. p-Toluene sulfuric acid as catalyst has a lot of advantages, such as high catalytic activity, low dosage and price, convenient to use, no environmental pollution and so on. p-Toluene sulfuric acid will be a new catalyst to the synthesis of ethyl benzoate replacing the traditional catalyst system of concentrated sulfuric acid.
