Research Outline
1.Objectives of the Study
The purpose of conducting this paper is to analyze the status quo of translation of public signs in Guangzhou, and summarize the strategies and methods of translations of public signs.
2. Paper Organization
Ⅰ. Introduction.
Ⅱ. Definition, types and functions of public signs.
Ⅲ. Analyzing the status quo of translation of public signs in Guangzhou.
A. Pointing out the problems with detailed examples
B. Provide a standard translation of public signs.
Ⅳ. Proposing strategies and modifications
Ⅴ. Conclusion
Research Method
1. To develop this paper, I use the qualitative method with a case analysis and some examples.
2. Technique of the Data Collection
The method of data collection in this research is mainly library research. Besides, all the examples chosen were collected in some places in Guangzhou.
3. Steps of collecting data applied in this study are as follows:
a. Visiting the famous places in Guangzhou and find out the problems of translation of public signs;
b. Searching the data from Internet ;
c. Reading biography of the author, some related books and journals to find out the theory and data, etc;
d. Taking notes of important information.
