Investigation on the Current Situation of College Students’ Reading
——Taking Zhoukou Normal University as an Example
Abstract: In the network era, the traditional way of reading is increasingly challenged. More and more young men tend to prefer this instant reading style without studying further and deeper. Reading in this way may have negative influences on the formation of values as well as social development because it subordinates the accumulation of knowledge and inner values to the speed-up effects. Therefore, this paper will take Zhoukou Normal University as an example to make an investigation of college students’ current reading situation in terms of reading contents, attitude, and the influences of extracurricular reading. The aim is to analyze the reading situation of contemporary college students as well as the consequent problems and finally to propose some reasonable suggestions and tactics for them.

前言
二十一世纪，是知识经济时代，信息更新日新月异，电脑普遍运用，互联网飞速发展。这一变化潜移默化地影响着当代大学生，他们在从现代信息媒体中获取知识的同时，也正一点一点地被五光十色的网络“快餐”所侵蚀。许多大学生沉迷于网络电影、网络游戏，没有心思，没有时间去学习，更不愿耗费精力去潜心阅读一本著作。2006年，中国出版科学研究所所长郝振省指出：“该读书的时间不读书，该读书的人不读书，该读的不读”。[1]他的这番话表明当前大学生阅读状况的惨淡与阅读质量的下滑。这一问题应该引起学校及社会各界的重视。
一、文化消费时代大学生的阅读状况
文化的传承、生活经验的传递除了口耳相授，在很大程度上还依赖于阅读。历史上，有许多与读书有关的故事，对今人具有启迪意义。孔子读书把编连竹简的皮绳翻断多次。明代宋濂在《送东阳马生序》中也记述了自己读书的艰难，天气十分寒冷时，砚台里的墨水都结了冰，手指冻得不能屈伸，却从来没有停止过抄书。可见,“读书”对于古人来说近乎于一种信仰，而这种读书精神更是难能可贵。也正是这一代又一代的“读书人”，我们的社会才得以进步,文明得以发展。
随着社会和科技的进步，人们步入了快节奏的生活时代，学会了“争分夺秒”，学会了“行色匆匆”，整个社会呈现出严峻的竞争状态。在这种状况下，给人带来暂时性的感性满足、心灵慰藉的“快餐文化”应运而生。
