"White deer" the character image analysis
Abstract: "White deer" is the first full-length novel Chen zhongshi, in 1997 won the fourth maodun literature award "revision". The secret history of the book is called "the national soul", its historical evolution, the changes of era to implement in the perceptual level, the ordinary people thrive in the guanzhong plains of white deer village history, white, and deer are two characters for the protagonist. Literature is through shaping characters to reflect the social life, the characters of good or bad determines the success or failure of the works. In "white" this work, the author has shaped a series of different personality, lifelike characters, this article attempts through the analysis of "white deer" in Bai Jiaxuan, Bai Xiaowen, the image of the spirit, to explore under the social background at that time the cultural spirit, the final summing up the spirit of the three generations of inheritance.

前言
如同作品开首所引用的巴尔扎克的名言“小说被认为是一个民族的秘史”，陈忠实的代表作《白鹿原》不仅仅是一部折射中国文化政治历史生活的宏伟的秘史，更是一部写出人性中的深刻隐秘、反映“民族精神史”的极具重量的著作。
高尔基说，文学是人学。因此文学必须要写“人性”，否则就构不成完整的“人学”。一部“史诗”或“民族精神史”如果不正视表现人性，是很难达到所谓的“深刻”。[2]所以，文学作品中人物形象的塑造至关重要，在《白鹿原》这部作品中，作者塑造了一个个鲜活真实、动态化、立体化的人物， 其中白嘉轩、白孝文、白灵在对待传统文化精神方面有不同的态度。本文拟通过分析作品中白嘉轩、白孝文、白灵的人物形象，探究其身上所反映的当时社会背景下文化精神，挖掘这三代人身上的精神传承。
一、白嘉轩的形象
在《白鹿原》这部小说中，白嘉轩既是白鹿村白姓一家的家长，又是白、鹿两姓组成的白鹿家族的族长。小说中的社会背景是清朝末年至新中国成立初期，时局动荡、风云变幻的年代，在那样的社会背景下，作为族长，白嘉轩在宗族中的地位不言而喻。同时，作为农耕社会以血缘关系为纽带的宗法家族制度的代表人物，白嘉轩是封建宗法社会的卫道者，他有固执迂腐的一面，也有文系了封建社会几千年历史的民族精神。白嘉轩是一个“从历史文化背景中走出来的族长形象”。在他的身上，浸润着浓厚的封建文化情致，也有着关中人那种朴实与顽强的本性; 在他的身上，古老的文化透射出巨大的力量。
在白家，白嘉轩笃守古训,以“仁义”立身治家, 为人刚毅木讷, 又常行恕道；在白鹿村，白嘉轩凭借世袭族权, 以圣人纲纪治村。
