Discussion on The Reason of Rural Migration in Second Empire of France
Abstract: Second Empire of French is an important stage for France in the process of modernization and population movements. During this period, the migration of farmers has a close connection with its modernization process. The force formed by rural and urban is the main factor for the climax formation of rural population, which includes the emergence of a large number of surplus labor in rural areas, migration restraint lifted and the city attractive enhancements. At the Same time,not only the change in mode of transport in particular transport speed provide an objective favorable conditions for a large number of rural population to urban areas , but also the expansion of the transportation network in the Second French Empire dose.

前言
“旧制度下的法国社会结构呈现一种金字塔构造形式，金字塔下层由为数众多的农民、工匠及包括资产阶级在内的第三等级人民大众所堆彻，其上端则是以国王为首的贵族特权阶级，而第二帝国时期被人们称作是旧有的金字塔倒转的阶段，在这个阶段陀螺模式已经形成即中小有产阶级的大量出现，并逐渐成为社会的主力”[1]。而且他们的政治地位也随着经济实力的增强而提高，这些中小有产阶级主要是在工业革命背景下形成的，而有产阶级中许多是从农村迁移到城市中去的，因此法兰西第二帝国又被称为“农民的王朝”[2]，这和农民向城市迁移这一关键因素是分不开的。本篇文章则主要探讨法兰西第二帝国时期农村人口迁往城市的原因。
法国的农村人口向城市迁移在19世纪末至20世纪初这一阶段出现了四次的迁移高潮，其分别是1851—1872年，1876—1881年，1896—1901年，1906—1911年。下面的一组数据概括地说明了法兰西第二帝国时期农村向城市的人口迁移情况。
