With the rapid development of network technology, people increasingly associate and communicate with others in the network so that chat strategies are becoming a branch of knowledge, online chat politeness strategies play an important role in the modern civilized society. Politeness and language are inseparable, general speaking, language is a very important means to express politeness, and also relatively, politeness restricts the use of language. Therefore, pragmatic study must include the study of politeness.
Based on the face theory, Brown and Levinson found out 4 politeness strategies which are widely accepted by scholars, they are positive politeness strategies, negative politeness strategies, off -record politeness strategies and emoticon politeness strategies. Of all these examples, that related to positive politeness strategies accounts for 37.39% , negative politeness strategy accounts for 39.29%, off-record politeness strategies accounts for 12.18%, emoticon politeness strategies accounts for 11.13%(Liu，2010). Positive politeness strategies in online chatting language also has its obvious characteristic.
