This paper begins with a brief introduction. Chapter two presents a literature review on this two novels and current studies on human nature as well as inpidualistic heroism. Chapter three studies the plot related to human nature, inpidualistic heroism and the theory related to it. Chapter four, which takes the plot and the theory in the chapter four for further discussion, deals with the contradiction itself. Finally, chapter five is the concluding part and presents the findings of this paper.
