摘要近年来,对于二语写作中词汇丰富性的研究越来越受到国内外学者的关注。本研究从词汇复杂性和词汇多样性两个文度来研究不同英语写作水平学生的词汇丰富性差异。研究语料选自南京理工大学的125名不同专业,不同年级学生在参加2014写作大赛校内初选时的125份作文卷。并按照分数排名,选取前25份为高分组,后25份为低分组。研究结果发现,无论是从词汇复杂性,还是词汇多样性来看,高分组学生的总体表现都优于低分组。研究此种差异有利于学生二语写作中词汇丰富性的提高,且以此对学生英语写作水平的提高及高校英语写作的教学均具有重要意义。33943

Title    A Study on the Differences in Lexical Richness of Argumentative  Compositions Between Students of Different English Writing Levels                                                
Abstract
In recent years, research on lexical richness in L2 writing has caught more and more attention from scholars all over the world. This study aims to investigate the difference in lexical richness between students of different L2 writing levels from two dimensions: lexical sophistication and lexical variation. 125 subjects involved in the study are all students of Nanjing University of Science and Technology coming from different grades and different faculties. The 125 papers belong to the first selection in school of a writing competition in 2014. Then according to score ranking, the top 25 are selected as high-scoring group and the last 25 are selected as low-scoring group. Analysis of the collected data shows that the overall performance of students of high-scoring group is better than those of low-scoring group both in lexical sophistication and lexical variation. The research on it is helpful in increasing lexical richness in students’ L2 writing and for this reason of great importance in the improvement of students’ writing skills and the teaching of L2 writing in universities.
