Painting is the visual art that children like very much. All vivid, concrete, and colorful objects are easy to appeal students’ interest and attention. When a teacher teaches some new words, for example, “smile, laugh, worry and anger,” if he tells directly the students their Chinese meaning, then ask them to recite the corresponding English words. The students must feel very dull and dry and their memory is weak. How about the teachers drawing the stick figure on the blackboard in proper order? Students say their Chinese meaning while the teachers are drawing. Under each of the stick figure the English words are written by the teachers, and the students will remember them with strong memory because of their exaggeration. It not only increases students’ vocabulary but also improves the classroom efficiency.
