浅析英汉歌词互译技巧

Abstract Song is a popular art in people’s life，and has great value to be appreciated. The power of music is unlimited of countries. People in different countries and language atmosphere not only listen to the songs, but also care about the things that lyrics conveyed. Because of that, song lyrics translation becomes much more important gradually. Based on the comparison of the difference in Chinese and English culture and writing skills, the paper analyzes the examples to discuss the song lyrics translation strategies. The result shows that the basic translation skill is to understand the differences in English and Chinese grammar and understand the feelings that lyrics try to express at the same time, so the most appropriate words can be chosen to translate the original word. The author hopes the paper can offer some helps for the lyrics translation studies.

I. Introduction
As a special form of art, music has played a real important role in our daily life. People in many different cultures, always take music as an important part of their way of life. Music develops with our human society. Music is composed and performed for many different purposes, just like pleasure, religious or sadness purposes, or just as an entertainment product for the writers and audiences.
Nowadays, thanks to the fast development of technology, especially with the wide range use of internet, people who are interested in music can more easily get the songs they like and share with friends. They can listen to music while sitting in the bus, waiting in a long line and reading a book. So every evidence shows that people are surrounded by music.
As we all know, music is such a universal language of human beings. In different countries, songs are effective ways to enhance cultural communication between people throughout the world. And songs do not only broaden our vision of this world by offering us a better understanding of different songs background, like history, custom, economy, culture, and others, but also make people think deeply about the various cultures, custom, people’s value and outlook of the whole world that the writers try to convey to us by those songs.
