Abstract Culture includes all aspects of human activities. A region’s cultural background dose not only influence the lifestyle of the residents, but also their thoughts. In addition, their marriage views is a  representative symbol of their culture.

These two masterpieces, Pride and Prejudice and The Joy Luck Club, are outstanding in the numerous works relating to marriage views. This paper recites a list of typical marriage relationships in these two books, and makes a comparison of marriage views between them, then illustrate similar and different views caused by education, cultural influence, female status, social environment and female’s self-awareness, revealing the importance of social environment and personal actions, which significantly impact on one’s marriage ethics, and even on one’s life.

The paper falls into six parts. The first part serves as an introduction. The second and third part aim at making a main list of marriage relationships in Pride and Prejudice and The Joy Luck Club . The fourth part explodes the similarities and the differences between them. The fifth part illustrates the reasons.The sixth part functions as a conclusion.

摘要文化，包含了人类活动的方方面面。一个地方的文化背景，不仅会影响当地人民的生活方式，也会影响他们的思想观念。其中，婚姻观是文化的重要体现。

在与婚姻观联系紧密的浩瀚经典作品中，《傲慢与偏见》和《喜福会》这两部杰作是极为突出的。本论文通过列举《傲慢与偏见》和《喜福会》这两部著作中出现的典型婚姻，比较它们婚姻观的相似点与不同点，发现教育，文化影响，女性地位，社会环境和女性的自我意识是造成相似观念和差异观念的主要原因:吹冰!文~论`文/网www.chuibin.com，揭示了环境影响与自我意识对塑造一个人的婚姻观，乃至人生的重要性。

本篇论文共分为六部分。第一部分是介绍。第二和第三部分分别阐述了《傲慢与偏见》与《喜福会》中主要展现的婚姻观。第四部分是对比上述两部作品的相同和不同婚姻观。第五部分探究相似点与不同点的原因。第六部分是结尾。
