Students’ reading comprehension can often represent their level of English. With the deepening of the reform of English teaching in middle schools, the English proficiency requirements are higher. Teachers pay more and more attention to the teaching of reading, but most of them just enhance the practice of English, together with a variety of examination essays in the form of exercises. In this way, students can achieve some short term effects at a certain examination requirements, but this train does not actually improve students’ reading levels.

   Since the problems already come up and can’t get a good solution in teaching, thus the best solution is recommended when implementing reading instruction, high school English teacher introduced from the very beginning to teach reading skills in order that students early get a correct, reasonable, and effective reading skills and methods. While author also understand that in middle school stage and teaching reading has been paid much attention of teacher, the effect is has been not ideal. There are some reasons, like lacking interesting in textbook, limited reading time and vocabulary volume. However, one of the main reason is that teacher ignore to guide student to grasp useful reading skills. Therefore, teachers should consciously train students in some reading skills, which not only to plan for long-term goals in improving student reading ability, but also improve the quality of the middle school English reading teaching.
