Abstract Nowadays, with the increasingly frequent international communication and the globalization of the world economy, English, as an important international language, has been widely used all over the world. People also pay more attention to English learning than before, especially focus on the fostering of primary school students’ English ability.49271

For primary school students, elementary school stage is the critical period of the development of language skills. Cultivating students’ ability of language is a tough task of the primary school teachers, so teachers must grasp the critical period, foster students language ability by bilingual training, promote the healthy development of their language ability, and can put relevant theories of language learning into the practice. In this thesis, the author discusses the purpose of bilingual teaching in our country, the relevant backgrounds, comparison with other countries, the similarities and differences of bilingual education among different disciplines, fostering of primary school students’ English ability and some concrete aspects that should be adjusted, arranged and reconstructed.

摘要如今,随着国际交流的不断发展以及世界经济一体化,英语作为一种国际语言早已被广泛应用于世界各地。人们也比以前更加注重英语的学习,尤其是注重培养小学生的英语能力。

对于小学生而言,小学阶段是其语言能力发展的关键时期,培养小学生语言能力是小学教师一项艰巨的任务,教师必须抓好这个关键期,积极运用双语教学来培养小学生的语言能力,促进其语言能力的健康发展,并能够与实践相结合。在本文中,作者讨论了我国实行双语教学的目的、相关背景、与其它国家之间的比较、不同学科之间进行双语教育的异同点、小学生外语能力的培养、以及在那些具体方面可以进行调整、规划和重新构建等问题。
