1.2 Literature Review Will Kaufman thought that Uncle Tom’s Cabin was the most enduring and the most complicated novel which had the biggest influence from it for solving racial issues (Will Kaufman, 2006). Since Ernest entered the new century, the research of this subject become further broaden and more perse, and the center topic was for black racial traits, as well as her stereotypes of black characters typed shape. As a middle-class white woman who lived in the 19th century, the author seemed like the era’s most whites, they regarded the race as a biological reality. She thought that race gave people different characteristics. Hulser, Kathleen thought that Stowe’s racism was a kind of romance of racism which was defined by George Frederickson to a great extent (Hulser, Kathleen, 2003). Susan Logue believed that the black images were typed, rigid and promoted in the novel, and caused a black writer crit icze its continuous and dismissed in the Stowe’s racial essentialism (Susan Logue, 2006). Many scholars praised the novel and the writer’ achievement. And the study of the novel had better base on the study of the write to some extent. And some scholars think that the novel had some limitations, but it should be regarded as a great novel for the achievement of people’s improvement and equality.
