摘要面对西方文化冲击的事实,加上应试教育体系下重视理科、英语,轻视传统文化的“中国特色”式教育影响,当代中小学生对中国传统文化的认知和认同情况非常值得研究。本文的实证调查包括在南京夫子庙小学开展的与80位该校学生的面对面访谈,和对60位于该校毕业并且正在接受或经历过中国大陆六年中学教育的学生进行的在线问卷调查两个部分。调查旨在研究当代中国中小学生对母语传统文化的认知和认同问题。调查发现,当代中小学生对中国传统文化的重视不够,理解和认知也并不十分准确,他们的文化认同感有下降的趋势。针对这些问题,本文试图总结出导致传统文化教育面临困境的原因,并结合东南亚华人及港台教育经验,对改善中小学生母语传统文化教育现状提出了几点建议。67686

Title A Study of Primary and Middle School Students’ Perception of Chinese Traditional Culture and Their Cultural Identification ——Based on an Empirical Investigation in Nanjing Confucius Temple Primary School

Abstract

Faced with the wide spread of Western culture, as well as the influence of test-oriented education which gives priority to English and science rather than Chinese traditions, Chinese primary and secondary school students’ cultural identification is worth studying. The empirical investigation in this paper includes two parts, one is the face-to-face interview with 80 students in the sample school (Nanjing Confucius Temple Primary school), and the other is an online questionnaire survey with 60 sample school alumni who are or have been experiencing the Chinese six-year middle school education. The investigation aims at researching the current situation of Chinese primary and middle school students’ perception of Chinese traditional culture and their cultural identification. The investigation finds out the following problems: students do not think highly of traditional Chinese culture; their understandings of ancient Chinese thoughts are limited; and their cultural identification sees a declining tendency. With the reference of cases from Hong Kong and Taiwan, the paper proposes practical suggestions for primary and middle schools to improve the traditional culture education.
