Title Solid-state NMR investigation of cellulose whiskers/ carboxylated nitrile rubber
Abstract
In this paper, the microscopic molecular motion of BCW/XNBR nanocomposites was characterized by the high resolution solid state nuclear magnetic resonance techniques, while the relationship between it and macroscopic mechanical properties was discussed. The 1H spectrum and its relaxation spectrum of vulcanized rubber were measured and analyzed combining with the GFS model, the results were showed that: with the increasing of BCW content, the full line-width at half height of 1H spectrum signal peak increased and then decreased, the value of 1H transverse relaxation time T2 decreased and then increased, the molecular motion of XNBR chain was reinforced after the first weakened. The combination of macroscopic mechanical properties was found that with BCW content increasing, the filler-polymer interaction gradually increased, so that the mechanical properties of the vulcanized rubber also gradually increased.
