The Study of the Fans Culture in the Network Entertainment Age
Abstract:As the newly-rising media develop fast, with network on their behalf, fan culture has stepped into its hey day. Compared with the traditional idolaters, who are featured by inpiduality, equal communication and pure consumption of entertainment products, fans in the network era assisted by the power of that medium have endowed their culture with new characteristics: groupment, development of hierarchy, and recreation of the entertainment products. Fan culture of network entertainment, on the one hand makes contribution to the spontaneous cultivation of hard skills and soft skills; on the other, however, the fans may also become over-subjective and sensibility-losing because of the burgeoning information. Therefore, the reasonable guide of fans, network and society has been a prerequisite for the benign development of fan culture in network era.
