An Analysis of Go for it! from the Perspective of key competences

Abstract In March 2014, the Ministry of Education issued Suggestions about Deepening Comprehensive Reform and Implementing the Task of Cultivating Virtues and Personalities and firstly put forward the Chinese special concept of key competences formally, which indicated that the development of students’ key competences would become one of the most important focuses in Chinese new education reform。 From the perspective of the cultivation of key competences, this study tries to make an analysis of middle school English textbooks, Go for it!, in order to see whether the current textbook meets the training requirements of the new reform 89508

    From the four aspects of key competences in English subject (language ability, learning ability, thinking quality and cultural consciousness), this study has found that the cultivation of key competences is embodied in Go for it! to some degree, but there are also many deficiencies。 As far as the language ability is concerned, Go for it! has professional training on the knowledge and skills of English language, but it ignores the cultivation of students' ability to understand and express language in social situations。 In the aspect of learning ability, although Go for it! encourages students to combine theory and practice together consciously, it should also try to cultivate students' ability to use effective strategies and methods。 In thinking quality, it cultivates students' pergent thinking and general thinking ability well, but it is lack of the cultivation of innovation ability and analysis ability。 Finally, in terms of cultural character, although Go for it! has made great efforts to train the student's ability of cross culture communication, it has the insufficiency in the cultural dissemination as well as students’ multicultural values training。 All deficiencies will affect the improvement of students' key competences。

基于核心素养的Go for it!教材分析

摘  要2014年3月,教育部发布了《关于全面深化改革 落实立德树人根本任务的意见》,首次正式提出核心素养的概念。它标志着核心素养的培养成为中国教育一个新的趋势和教育改革的一个重点。本文尝试从培养核心素养的角度,对人教版初中英语教材Go for it!进行分析,从而讨论这套教材是否能够满足新一轮改革的要求。

本文从英语学科核心素养的四个方面(语言能力、学习能力、思维品质以及文化意识)对Go for it!的分析后发现核心素养在这套教材中有所体现,但也有很多不足。就语言能力而言,教材对语言知识和技能都有专业的培养,但对学生在社会情境中准确理解并表达语言的能力培养不足;学习能力方面,Go for it!虽然有意识地在培养学生理论实践相结合的学习方式,但作为初中英语教材,还应该培养学生运用有效策略和方法的能力;又如思维品质上,Go for it!对学生的发散性思维培养较好,但对学生的创新能力和分析辨析能力培养有所欠缺;而在文化意识上,教材虽然努力培养了学生跨文化交际的能力,但对文化传播以及学生多元文化价值观的培养不足。这些不足之处都将影响学生核心素养的提高。源Q于W优E尔A论S文R网wwW.yOueRw.com 原文+QQ75201,8766
