2.2.1 Studies at Home
“The researches on China English experiences three periods: (1) proposal of China English; (2) controversy of status; (3) the study on linguistic features of China English on different levels and persified researches on it.” (Li 2006). The relationship between Chinese cultural background and China English is one of the important parts in this field.
In recent years, the debate of the status of China English seems decreased, but the study of China English still continued, and the focus of scholars has turned to the linguistic features of China English on different levels and interdisciplinary research on it.
