英汉动物词汇之文化内涵对比研究
This thesis aims to make people know more about cultural persities reflected by animal words. It compares the similarities and differences of cultural connotations of animal words in English and Chinese in four main aspects: identical animal words sharing similar cultural connotations; identical animal words sharing different connotations in two cultures; different animal words possessing similar cultural connotations; unique animal words in English and Chinese. Meanwhile, it figures out three main factors, including geography, history, religion and world view which influence distinctive cultural connotations.
This paper adopts the way of contrastive analysis to study on objective cultural connotation pergences on animal words in English and Chinese. Under the guidance of former researches from books and periodicals, this paper compares the difference and similarities in cultural connotations possessed by animal words in English and Chinese caused by carious factors, and describe the significance in English teaching and learning, intercultural communications as well. It suggests that people should take right attitudes toward cultural conflicts and avoid misunderstandings and discourtesy in intercultural communications.

摘要作为文化载体的动物词汇在语言和社会文化中都扮演着重要的角色。由于地理情况，历史背景以及其他方面的差异，这些灵活有用的词汇承载了它们各自独有的文化信息。此外，随着动物和人类之间的关系日益密切，许多动物在人们的思想中成为一些象征。人们往往会把一些情感，发生的事件以及自然现象和动物联系起来。因此，对于动物词汇的探讨显然对语言和人类都很重要。
本文旨在使人们更清楚的了解到动物词汇所反映的文化的多样性。从四个方面比较了英汉动物词汇文化内涵的异同：同一动物词汇代表相同的文化内涵；同一动物词汇代表不同的文化内涵；不同动物词汇代表相同的文化内涵；英汉动物词汇特有的文化内涵。同时，本文提出使文化内涵绚丽多彩主要因素是地理，历史，宗教信仰和世界观。
本文采用了对比分析的方法探讨了英汉动物词汇的文化内涵。通过对先前研究者书刊和期刊的研读和学习，本文比较了不同动物词汇由于多方因素，承载了不同的文化内涵，以及反映了它们在英语教学和跨文化交际中的重要性。将动物词汇文化内涵以及其他文化融入英语教学能够增强学生学习英语的兴趣和信心。人们应该正视文化冲突，避免在跨文化的交际中产生误解和矛盾。
