A Case Study of Extracurricular Tutoring in English: observation and analysis Abstract With the increasing attention on improving student academic achievement, private tutoring has been expanding rapidly all over the world. Today tutoring schools are quite popular among students vary from primary school to high school students. Apart from improving their children’s grade in English tests, parents send their children to learn English (as one of the major subjects for students) in tutoring school for several other reasons like finding a place for their children to finish their homework, the invitation from teachers and so on. The income levels of parents have a distinguished influence on the motivation that parents send their children to attend extracurricular English tutoring class. And whether the effect of English tutoring is so significant is discussed in this paper. The results show actually both students and parents have given too many expectations to English tutoring.46962

 关于课外英语辅导的实例研究：观察与分析

摘要随着对提高学生的学习成绩的关注度越来越高，家教作为一种课外学习的主要方式已经在世界各地普及。如今课外辅导学校面向的学生范围很广，包括从小学至高中各个阶段的学生。但实际上，除了提高孩子的英语测试成绩之外，家长送孩子到课外辅导学习英语（作为学生的主要课题之一）还有一下其他隐含的原因，例如找到一个合适的场所帮助他们的孩子完成家庭作业或是受到老师的邀请等等。与此同时，父母的收入水平的高低对家长送孩子参加课外英语辅导班的动机也有着明显的影响。本文讨论也将讨论英语课外辅导的效果是否真的如此显著。本文中的研究结果表明，实际上，学生和家长都对英语课外辅导给予了太多的期望，英语课外补习的效果并非家长和学生所期待得那样有效。
