As a result, it can be inferred that the advantage of female students in English learning is not certain, and the study of gender differences in language learning has yet to be further studied. Gender differences are one of the most basic natural differences among human, and it acts as an important aspect of students’ inpidual differences with a broad and profound influence on students’ learning and activities. For a long time, teachers think little about the gender differences in students’ English learning’s different impacts. Therefore, the new curriculum reform implemented today makes the researcher delve into the impact of gender differences between boys and girls of junior high students’ English learning necessarily. There are five parts in this paper. Firstly, the researcher focuses on the performance of boys and girls in English learning in middle school: vocabulary learning, learning ideas and students’ behavior in English class. Secondly, the researcher analyzes the effects of gender differences on English learning in middle school: gender differences in social impact, learning strategies, learning motivation, language style and physiological factors. Thirdly, the researcher explores some efficient strategies concerning gender differences in English learning: strategies for social impact, learning strategies, motivation, learning styles and physiological factors. Therefore, this paper can not only help researchers to have a better understanding of the four effects of gender differences on middle school students’ English learning, but also help boys and girls to learn English better and improve their learning ability effectively, which can arise their interest of learning English greatly.
