The paper consists of five chapters. Chapter 1 is an introduction of the paper. It mainly talks about the present situation analysis and development of the primary and junior high school English teaching connection, and the structure of the paper. Chapter 2 mainly describes the background of the research and the current situation of China and some related representative figures and works. Chapter 3 mainly elaborates the analysis and thinking on the current situation. It describes some details in the disjointed phenomenon. Chapter 4 is to talk about some solving schemes when primary and junior high school English teaching connection got in trouble. Chapter 5 is the conclusion. It concludes the whole thesis by strengthening the importance and necessity of using context theory in primary and junior high school English teaching connection. It also refers that teachers and students should make efforts for the English teaching connection actively.

II. The Present Situation of English Teaching in Primary and Middle Schools

At home and abroad, there is a certain degree of research on educational cohesion. But due to different national conditions, the curriculum standards of foreign language teaching are different. The task of foreign language education in primary and secondary schools, as well as the effective convergence of primary and secondary schools, primary school foreign language teachers and training issues, etc., are being discussed in the subject. There are the main issues that the task of foreign language education and the effective connection in primary and middle schools, as well as the quality of primary school foreign language teachers and teacher training, which need be discussed.

In our country, there are many researches and achievements about English teaching reform in primary and secondary schools. The research on the connection between primary school and middle school English teaching lacks of systematicness and has not been studied so far. English learning is not only the end of primary school English, but also the continuation of primary school English, is also the beginning of middle school English(Xiahou 2003). For English learning, it is a key link to rise from primary school English to junior middle school English, and details of the connection between primary and middle school English teaching will play a vital role in learning English in the future(Guo 2012). Therefore, it has important significance that systematically investigates the English teaching connection problems in primary and middle schools of our country. Only in this way, more and more students will love English, and learn more English, so as to improve the quality of English teaching.

III.Problems and Analysis of English Teaching in Primary and Middle Schools 

In the early twenty-first Century, the Ministry of Education puts forward the idea of foreign language education and teaching management, which has been reflected in the new English curriculum standard. In the practice of English Teaching in primary and junior high schools, it is worthy to concern the efficiency and quality of English teaching. The purpose, teaching methods and evaluation methods of English course in primary and junior high schools are not consistent, which lead to the serious situation of students’ English learning when they enter junior middle school. 

At present, it still exists the teaching phenomenon in the junior high school that after learning English for several years, students continue to learn the repetitive knowledge even learn English from the beginning, when they enter the junior high school. As to those students who have good foundation in English and have high level of English language proficiency, this phenomenon will reduce the initiative to learn English and even lead to the decline of the quality of English Teaching and the repetition and low efficiency of the teachers’ work in primary and secondary schools, as well as lead to a waste of time and energy.
