摘要翻译人才在我国经济发展和社会进步中起着非常重要的作用，特别是在吸收引进外国的先进科技知识和加强国际交流与合作方面。翻译人才是国际间的桥梁和纽带，而在翻译活动中，熟练的口译员更是紧缺人才。口译人员素质的提高，对于我国在政治、经济、科技等领域全方位加强国际合作起着关键的作用。本文从口译讲起，口译的特点决定了一名优秀的口译员必须具备基本的译员素质，并且探讨分析了一名合格的口译员应该具备什么样的素质和技能，以及如何培养这样的素质和技能。研究指出一名合格的口译员必须具备过硬的专业知识和基本功，如双语转换的能力，听力技能，破译技能，速记技能，表达技能等等。最后，希望本文的研究和探讨对于译员的培养和译员素质的提高有所贡献。50937

Abstract  As translation is a bridge and link in the process of China’s introducing and absorbing the advanced science and technology of foreign countries and strengthening its international cooperation and communication, translators play a very important role in the development of China’s economy and society. And excellent interpreters are badly needs in translation activities in particular. Undoubtedly, the improvement in the quality of interpreters is crucial in promoting our country’s international cooperation in the areas of politics our country’s international cooperation in the areas of politics, economy, science, and so on. Firstly, this paper will make a brief introduction of which determines the basic qualities and skills a qualified interpreter should have and how to cultivate those qualities and skills. It is pointed out that a qualified interpreter must have the solid professional knowledge and basic skills, such as a handsome diploma, bilingual competences, listening skills, decoding skills, note-taking skills, expressive skills so on and so forth. At last I hope that the research and discussion of this paper will contribute to the improvement of interpreter skills.
